The public work of our principals spans national airports to community centers to local government offices. There is usually pressure from the public to be efficient and from staff to be effective in government facilities design. In one of our public projects, we were able to demonstrate that outdated furniture standards were actually costing more money than if they had outright bought new furniture and implemented new standards. We showed in another project that the mechanical systems were being operated without the inherent efficiency that was built in, thus we were able to save operation costs by just tweaking the existing system. In both cases we were able to improve the livability of the government facility and save budgetary and operating costs without major construction costs..
A quality urban or master plan and subsequent public areas and streetscape is about combining the needs of people, the context of the environment, and a creative vision for the future. Architects, landscape architects, transportation engineers, community professionals and environmental planners must work closely together to create an effective master plan. We work with some of leading consultants in our area to frame new visions for the future that engage the human spirit.
Our experience with the Minneapolis Downtown Development Project, the South Ninth Street Historic District, Burnsville's Heart Of The City and the AIA's Search For Shelter position us well to help your vision become a reality.
